The American Animal Hospital Association

Lange Animal Hospital is proud to have been an AAHA-accredited small animal practice since 1980. Originally and for many years later, Lange Animal Hospital and the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine Small Animal Clinic were the only two companion animal hospitals in Knoxville to achieve this high level of distinction.

The American Animal Hospital Association is a voluntary organization of the top 12% of the small animal practices in North America who elect to subject themselves to intense scrutiny and examination regularly to ensure they are providing the highest level of medical care to companion animals. It also provides stringent guidelines for medical record-keeping and facilities maintenance, again maintaining the standards of excellence set forth by AAHA. At Lange Animal Hospital we continue to adhere to the policies and practice guidelines as set forth by the American Animal Hospital Association, setting us apart from other practices not capable or willing to comply with these strict guidelines. This ensures the very best in medical and surgical care for every patient we care for. We choose to be different – and we believe you will notice the difference.
